Check out my must haves for skiing if you need to upgrade or add some items to your gear!

Winter Park
Just 1 hr and 17 min from Denver, west on i70 and just over Berthoud Pass. Every time I went I found new terrain to explore. Insider tip – park for free in the Mary Jane lot and ride right from the Mary Jane base lift.

Copper
My favorite mountain of these 4, right off i70, is Copper Mountain. The T-bars bring me back to my childhood and the alpine skiing is breathtaking. The variety of terrain and quality of snow and trails makes this a favorite.

eldora
It’s just west of Boulder, with the furthest parking from the slopes I encountered driving solo. If you know Wachusett Mountain, this is the Wachusett of the Rockies and the iciest day on the slopes for me. But probably the best place to learn on the front range.

Arapahoe basin
Not a ski resort. A-Basin boasts the closest views of the Rocky Mountain rock faces just next to you while your on the slopes. The quickest drive is over Loveland pass- the sketchiest pass I encountered while in CO.
